How does the nomination round work?

The nomination round takes place November 10–20 and is based on write-ins. Nominate once per category.

Why is my nomination not showing up on the ballot?

Nominations aren’t public until the voting round. The top nominees in each category move on to the public ballot.

Do businesses need to be local to qualify?

Yes. To be eligible, nominations must be for businesses located within east Mississippi or west Alabama (Meridian and surrounding communities).

How often can I vote?

You can vote once per day in each category during the voting window (Nov 24 – Dec 11).

How are winners chosen?

After voting closes, businesses with the most verified votes in each category are crowned Best Of 2025. Winners will be announced at 9:00 AM on Friday, December 19.
