The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) is bringing back its popular “12 Days of Christmas” Digital Message Sign Competition, encouraging residents to share their holiday-themed traffic safety messages.
This annual contest invites Mississippians to get creative, spreading cheer and promoting safe driving practices across the state’s highways.
Participants are encouraged to submit their best holiday-themed traffic safety messages in the comments section of MDOT’s social media post for a chance to see their messages displayed on digital message signs (DMS) throughout Mississippi during the holiday season. The competition aims to boost highway safety awareness and foster community involvement.
Competition Guidelines:
- Traffic Safety Focus: Messages should be themed around traffic safety.
- Text Limitations: Signs can accommodate up to three lines of text with 21 characters (including spaces) per line.
- Restrictions: Hashtags, phone numbers, website addresses, and emojis are not permitted in the submissions.
The deadline to enter the competition is Monday, December 2.
