MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – A utility worker was electrocuted while working at the corner of 8th Street and 23rd Avenue in Meridian around 11:50 AM Wednesday.
Meridian Fire Chief Michael Evans said the worker was transported to a local hospital.
Sources close to Queen City Newsfeed said the condition of the worker is stable and non life-threatening.
Evans said he believes the worker was employed by a private contractor.
