MERIDIAN, Miss (Queen City Newsfeed) – Local business owners were “Over the Moon” after receiving an award for Outstanding Merchandising during the Mississippi Main Street 40th Anniversary Awards Ceremony.
Brette Harman co-owns Over the Moon Children’s Boutique with Rachel Scarbrough and Madison Campbell.
The store has everything from clothes, shoes, toys and accessories.
Harman said the three women opened their business in 2018, and recently moved it from 8th street to 22nd avenue in January of 2020.
“It just showcases that three women can be successful in a small town, and it hopefully will encourage other people to follow their dreams, and if you feel lead to start a business, you definitely should,” said Harman.
Matt Schanrock with Meridian Main Street nominated the boutique.
