MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience hosted its “First Saturday at The MAX” event Saturday in downtown Meridian.
Jax Moore performed live at the venue from 12 pm to 2 pm.
The museum was open and free to the public until 5 pm.
Marketing Coordinator Gabby Ortiz said this is something the museum likes to do for the community.
“It’s a way to reach out to people, let them have something to do on a Saturday, no charge at all. It’s your chance to explore the museum for free,” said Ortiz.
Right now, the museum is displaying their permanent exhibits, but they are gearing up for their Walter Anderson exhibit which will be from September to November.
Anderson is a famous water color artist from the coast.
