MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – It’s the first Saturday of the month, which means local vendors met under the bridge near Singing Brakeman Park for Earth’s Bounty.
The event is an opportunity for local produce vendors, farmers and artisans to sell and buy locally sourced goods.
Julie Wilkins Co-owns Little Love Flower Farm with Carley Ward.
They said events like Earth’s Bounty are vital for the community.
“I just think it’s so special to get to know the people who grow your food, and food grown locally is so good for you. It’s just awesome to get to pour back into the community because these people are invested in Meridian. They’re invested in pouring back in financially themselves, so when we support local businesses, it just multiplies what you can do in Meridian,” said Wilkins.
Vendors will be out until 12 pm Saturday.
