Annual Love Out Loud Ministry Begins

MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Northcrest Baptist Church is launching its annual Love out Loud Ministry, set to run from July 14th through the 19th.

According to the Love Out Loud website, this initiative is aimed to dedicate a week to various mission projects throughout the local community. These projects originally offered volunteers opportunities to engage in activities such as school clean-ups, support for local charities, and simple acts of kindness like distributing cold water during the summer heat.

From its humble beginnings, Love Out Loud Meridian quickly gained momentum. By the following year, two additional churches had joined the effort, expanding both the number of volunteers and the scope of mission opportunities.

Today, the initiative has grown significantly, with over thirty churches across Meridian participating in more than twenty distinct mission projects. This collaborative effort underscores a community-wide commitment to service and outreach.

The success of Love Out Loud Meridian has also inspired neighboring counties. Today, communities in Neshoba and Scott counties have adopted the Love Out Loud model, organizing their own local efforts to foster community service and engagement.

As Northcrest Baptist Church prepares to kick off this year’s Love out Loud Ministry, the focus remains on continuing the tradition of impactful service that has become synonymous with the initiative over the years.

Here are the list of ministries, according to the Love Out Loud website:

Gotcha Covered – We’re bringing an answer to people’s clothing needs directly to them, with a covered trailer setup like a closet.  We will be bringing the trailer into areas of need and giving away free clothing.

Grilling Ministry – Everybody loves burgers & hot dogs, so we take a grill on a trailer and pull into various places and share good food and God’s love with people.

Block Party – The block party crew will set up inflatables and other fun items in areas where the grilling ministry will be that day, turning the day into a fun time for everyone.

Nursing Home Ministry –  We will bring some puppets and music into the day halls of some local nursing homes, entertaining residents and and bringing a little happiness into their day. Several people will anchor the ministry so volunteers can join in very easily.   This is a great ministry for those with kids to be in as both kids and parents can easily be involved.

Agape – Also known as Random Acts of Kindness, this evangelistic mission is an excellent opportunity to show people that we care about them.  Gifts and care items are assembled and distributed in our area to help others and say thank you to those that serve our communities everyday.

Prayer Walk –  Pray for the success and peace of our schools in the coming school year by visiting a campus, walking about, and praying as you like.

Boys & Girls Club –  Help out with a sports camp and various activities for the kids.
