LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Choctaw Area Council hosted the Cub Scouts Back to School Bash Saturday at Camp Binachi from 10 am to 2 pm.
Attendees enjoyed a water slide, a BB gun range, and free hotdogs and popcorn.
District Executive for the Choctaw Area Council Parker Manley says kids from Kindergarten to 5th grade are welcome to sign up and join the Cub Scouts.
“What our recruitment process looks like is, we get in contact with the schools, the principals, and they let us come do Cub Scout talks to all the Cub Scouts in their grades. The night after, we’ll do a big Cub Scout sign up. We’ll have a lot of sign ups, we’ll have volunteers come out, and then we’ll go through our recruitment process there. They’ll file an application, and we turn that into our registrar, and that’s it. That’s the process. Or, you can go online at cacbsa.org and join there.”
