Mississippi Children’s Museum Hosts Harry Potter’s Birthday Event

MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Mississippi Children’s Museum hosted Harry Potter’s Birthday Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Area children got to partake in activities like herbology, potion making, quidditch training, and other crafts.

Assistant Director of Programs Melinda Goff said Saturday’s event may seem like fun and games, but there’s actually an educational twist.

“Not only are they getting to have the experience of say, doing a science experiment, like potions making, but then it’s also a fun time because then they get to sample it afterwards. So, we make education and learning fun,” said Goff.

Goff said the museum always incorporates hands-on interactive activities.

Their next event is “Magic Monday” which will be Monday, July 29th, and will be from 10am to 3pm.
