MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Police say Daniel Dixon has been charged with aggravated assault in connection with Monday’s Shooting in Meridian.
His bond has been set at $100,000.

According to Sgt. Thompson with the Meridian Police Department, the department received a call reporting a shooting from the 500 block of 49th Avenue Monday.
The incident, which took place earlier in the 200 block of 46th Avenue, resulted in the victim being shot in the leg.
Despite his injuries, the victim managed to drive himself to the 500 block of 49th Avenue before emergency responders arrived. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to be airlifted to a hospital in Jackson for further treatment.
At last update, the victim was reported to be alert and talking.
One individual is currently in custody in connection with the shooting.
The Meridian Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident.
