CHOCTAW, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Silver Star, Golden Moon, and Bok Homa Casinos have demonstrated their commitment to community support by channeling guest donations into Tribal programs. Since March 2024, the casinos have enabled patrons to donate their spare change through FABI kiosks located at each property. This initiative has raised a substantial total of $69,539.98 for three key Tribal programs: the Choctaw Elderly Program, the MBCI Boys & Girls Club, and the Choctaw Veterans Program.
Guests have had the opportunity to contribute by choosing to donate their loose change rather than redeeming it when they cash out at the gaming machines. This option is available at all 26 FABI kiosks across the three casino locations.
“Pearl River Resort’s decision to utilize the FABI kiosk donation program and return the donations made by our guests to these three Tribal programs is truly amazing,” said Tribal Chief Cyrus Ben. “A donation like this can make a big difference to a program. It allows them to assist their program participants with various operational needs. I know each of these programs is grateful for this donation and will put this additional income to great use for our youth, elderly, and veterans.”
The funds collected are distributed as follows: Silver Star Casino contributed $30,579.44, Golden Moon Casino raised $22,495.55, and Bok Homa Casino added $16,464.99. The initial donations to each program are: $23,893.63 to the MBCI Boys & Girls Club, $23,258.30 to the Choctaw Elderly Program, and $22,388.05 to the Choctaw Veterans Program. If current donation levels persist, each program can anticipate an average monthly contribution of $5,795.
“Thanks to the incredible generosity of our guests, we have been able to give back to these programs,” said Sonny Johnson, President and CEO. “Your contributions help supplement these organizations, and we are deeply grateful. We encourage everyone to continue supporting these Tribal programs as they continue to provide services within the community.”
