LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The East Mississippi Correctional Facility is investigating the circumstances that led to an altercation between inmates on Tuesday, August 6 at approximately 10 a.m.
Officers responded to the disturbance in one of the housing units and quickly got the situation under control.
One inmate was taken to the facility’s medical unit and later transported to the hospital via ambulance for further medical care.
The inmate is expected to fully recover.
