Walters Construction is set to start mobilizing today, with milling scheduled to begin on Friday. APAC will commence paving on Monday. The following streets will be resurfaced:
- 22nd Avenue Heights (from Highway 145 South to the City limits)
- Front Street Extension (from Fifth Avenue to 13th Avenue)
- North Hills Street (from Highway 39 to approximately 600 feet east of Newell Road)
- Great River Drive (from North Hills Street to 52nd Street)
The paving work is anticipated to last 3 to 4 weeks, weather permitting and barring any other disruptions.
Van Zandt urges motorists to avoid the construction zones if possible. If driving through these areas, he advises reducing speed and exercising caution.
