QUITMAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Jatavious Davis turned himself in to authorities on Sunday, September 22, 2024 around 5:20 p.m. after an active warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with an aggravated assault at the Quitman Sports Complex earlier that week.
Chief Deputy Barry White confirmed that a bond for Davis will be set within the next 48 hours.
The incident occurred on September 19, 2024, when law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting at the sports complex, resulting in one individual sustaining a gunshot wound to the foot.
No additional damages or injuries were reported.
Quitman Police Department and the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department were on the scene shortly after the incident.
