LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Northeast High School baseball team will celebrate its Alumni Weekend on Saturday, October 5, 2024. The festivities will kick off at 9 a.m. with a Meet and Greet, providing an opportunity for former players to reconnect and share memories.
Following the Meet and Greet, participants can enjoy a Home Run Derby at 11 a.m., where alumni will showcase their hitting skills. The day will culminate with an Alumni Game, allowing past players to take the field once again in a spirited competition.
A break for lunch is scheduled around noon, bringing the day’s activities to a close.
“It’s always important, our kids deserve it, our kids work hard from August to the end of Baseball season in May. They deserve all the support in the world. They work hard for it, and that’s what we want,” said Coach Brock McKnight. “I’m very excited about it. It’s always a fun time for our guys and for all of our alumni to come back into town and see what out kids are doing, and work hard together and just have a great day.”
