CLARKE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Investigators have identified the victim of a shooting on County Road 1411 as Warren Conner, who was found with a gunshot wound to the side behind a mobile home. Conner is currently in serious condition and receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at a local hospital.
The shooting incident occurred Friday evening, with police responding to a 911 call at approximately 8:20 PM. Clarke County Deputies, along with the Quitman Police Department, arrived at the scene to find the male victim injured.
Conner was quickly transported to the hospital for urgent medical care. The nature of his injuries has not been disclosed.
As of Saturday morning, one individual has been taken into custody and is being held at the Clarke County Jail in connection with the shooting. However, details regarding the detainee and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
Sheriff Chancelor has indicated that the investigation is ongoing and that further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
