LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred this afternoon in the 4000 block of York Road.
At approximately 1:51 p.m. on December 31, 2024, Lauderdale County E-911 received a call from Metro Ambulance reporting that an individual had been shot. Deputies were dispatched to the scene and confirmed that one person, identified as Alexis Deshanna House, a 24-year-old female from Toomsuba, had died from injuries sustained during the incident.
While the investigation is ongoing, authorities have assured the public that there is no danger to the community. All parties involved have been identified, and law enforcement continues to gather details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting.
