LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Grand Jury for the January 2025 term of the Lauderdale County Circuit Court has issued its final report after two days of deliberations and examination of witnesses. The jury reviewed 20 witnesses and returned 121 true bills of indictment to open court, while also returning three no true bills.
Lauderdale County Detention Facility
The Grand Jury toured the Lauderdale County Detention Facility and found it to be clean and safe, but outdated. As a result, the jury recommended that the Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors begin planning for either the construction of a new detention facility or the renovation of the current facility.
