MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – A brief car chase involving the Meridian Police Department and Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Deputies ended in the 3500 block of 36th Avenue on Wednesday around noon.
The suspect, driving a red Dodge Charger, fled on foot after the pursuit came to an end. Authorities have not confirmed whether the suspect was apprehended.
Lauderdale County Sheriff Ward Calhoun did not release the suspect’s name but confirmed the individual has active warrants out of Texas. The incident falls under the jurisdiction of the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department Drug Task Force.
