CLARKE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Clarke County Mardi Gras Parade is set to take place in Stonewall on February 22, 2025, with a special focus on honoring veterans.
The parade will begin with lineup at 10:00 AM at Jones Community College, followed by the parade starting at 11:00 AM. Immediately after the parade, the community is invited to join the Mardi Party at the softball field, where food vendors will offer a variety of dishes, including pulled pork, burgers, and ribs.
A highlight of the event will be a special performance by Clarke County’s Distinguished Young Woman. The parade will feature a mix of antique cars, ATVs, golf carts, and creative floats from local businesses. There will also be a designated area for veterans, where attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
Local churches will also host fundraisers, and there is no vendor fee for this community event, making it a great way for families to enjoy the festivities.
Those interested in joining the parade lineup can contact Parade Coordinator Lynnita Bartee through Facebook.
