LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Lauderdale County took action to recover over $461,000 in unpaid garbage fees by posting a list of delinquent accounts on social media. The list was made available on the Lauderdale County Solid Waste Facebook page on Friday, February 21st.

The individuals listed have been previously notified of their outstanding garbage fees but have not yet made payments. The county is asking the public to assist by notifying these individuals and urging them to contact the Tax Collector’s office to bring their accounts current.

The county is encouraging residents who use social media to share the post in an effort to reach those on the list and prompt action. This initiative is part of the county’s ongoing efforts to address unpaid fees and maintain the financial health of its waste management program.

The goal of posting the list is to facilitate payment and ensure that all residents are up to date with their obligations.

For more information or to inquire about payment options, residents are encouraged to contact the Lauderdale County Tax Collector’s office directly at (601) 482-9786.
