MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — The MPSD Foundation of Educational Excellence, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of East Mississippi, has announced its inaugural Trailblazers of Excellence Awards Gala. The event will celebrate the academic achievements of students in the Meridian Public School District who have excelled in state assessments or the ACT.
The gala is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Frank Cochran Center. Honorees will walk the Blue Carpet during the evening, which will highlight their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to academic success. Each recognized student is invited to bring two guests to the celebration, with tickets provided.
“This event is a testament to the hard work and perseverance of our students,” said Neil Henry, president of the MPSD Foundation. “We are thrilled to honor their accomplishments and highlight the bright future they represent for our community.”
Students and guests are encouraged to dress to impress as they celebrate alongside peers, educators, and community leaders dedicated to academic excellence.
“I am so excited to be able to recognize our students for their hard work in the classroom,” said Dr. Amy Carter, MPSD superintendent. “Our students work hard every day, and thanks to the MPSD Foundation and other generous sponsors, we are able to show them how proud we are of them.”
