MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – On Sunday afternoon, members of Leadership Lauderdale made a generous donation to the Center for Pregnancy Choices (CPC) of Meridian, delivering essential items along with a check for $6,719.50.
Sara Smith, Executive Director of CPC Meridian, expressed her appreciation for the contribution, highlighting the importance of the donation in supporting the center’s mission to provide crucial supplies like baby items, food, and clothing to mothers in need.
Laura Lee Burinskas, a member of Leadership Lauderdale, explained how personally meaningful the fundraising effort was for the group. She said the center’s work, which includes not only assisting mothers and children but also guiding them through difficult situations and nurturing their spiritual growth, deeply inspired them to contribute.
The funds were raised through various local initiatives, including support from churches and schools, a baby bottle drive, and an item drive organized by the Dusty Social Service Club.
This generous donation will aid CPC Meridian in continuing its essential services for families in the community.
