LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – A fallen tree outside of East Mississippi Electric Power Association’s (EMEPA) right-of-way took down both distribution and transmission lines, causing power outages in the Collinsville area. EMEPA crews worked quickly to restore power to affected customers.
As of 6:15 p.m., power has been fully restored in the Collinsville area.
Crews are also actively working to restore power in the Enterprise area of Clarke County. The outage in the Clarke County area was restored as of 5:30 p.m.
The outages occurred amid a wind advisory in the region, which may contribute to additional power disruptions and hazardous conditions. EMEPA urges residents to remain cautious and report any downed power lines or outages.
