LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Lauderdale County School District kicked off the spring state testing season with a celebration of its educators, hosting the first-ever LCSD Educator Extravaganza on April 14 at the Mississippi Children’s Museum – Meridian.
The event was organized as a show of appreciation for faculty and staff across the district. Attendees enjoyed pampering stations provided by the MCC School of Cosmetology, along with special giveaways and wellness offerings from Dillard’s, Baptist Anderson Fitness Center, and additional community partners.
A key moment during the celebration was the recognition of more than 50 LCSD employees who recently earned professional certifications. Honorees were acknowledged for achieving credentials in National Board Teaching, Nursing, Counseling, Dyslexia Intervention, and Speech Pathology.
District officials say the event served as a morale boost and a way to honor the dedication of educators ahead of the busy testing period.
