Community Forum on Human Trafficking To Take Place On April 24

MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed)- A free public event aimed at raising awareness about human trafficking in Mississippi will be held on Thursday, April 24 at 6 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Meridian.

Hosted by The Coalition, the evening will include dinner and a powerful program addressing myths, misconceptions, and current trafficking trends in Mississippi, including specific concerns in the Meridian area. The event is open to residents of Meridian and surrounding communities.

A survivor will share their personal story, followed by remarks from the director of Hope Village, who will introduce a new initiative — a haven for trafficked girls — being launched in Meridian.

Organizers say the event offers a chance for the community to learn how Meridian is helping bring healing and hope to victims of trafficking.

Registration is free and encouraged. To register, visit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/aware-2025-tickets-1292816150909?aff=oddtdtcreator
