MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Mississippi Asthma and Allergy Clinic marked a new chapter Thursday morning as it celebrated its official ribbon cutting and membership with the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation (EMBDC).
The event took place at 11:30 a.m. at the clinic’s new location at 3704 Highway 39, where staff, community members and local leaders gathered to welcome the clinic into the Meridian business community.
Specializing in the treatment of immune system-related conditions, the clinic offers care for a range of issues — from seasonal allergies and asthma to food sensitivities and skin disorders.
“One thing that makes our clinic unique is we treat any age,” said Dr. Stephen LeBlanc, who relocated to Meridian with his family just over three years ago. “The most common thing we see is seasonal allergies and sinus issues, but we also treat a lot of asthma, food allergies, rashes such as hives, eczema, etc.”
Dr. LeBlanc emphasized the prevalence of allergic conditions, noting that about one-third of the population experiences some form of allergy. The clinic provides skin testing to help pinpoint specific allergens and guide treatment options.
The Mississippi Asthma and Allergy Clinic is now accepting patients. For more information or to schedule an appointment, individuals can call (601) 693-0216.
