HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (DarkHorse Press) – A Mississippi State Trooper has been put on leave after being charged with sexual battery.
Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones confirmed that Zachary Reshad McCroy was charged with sexual battery. He was arrested and given $100,000 bond. He’s currently out with a GPS monitor.
Department of Public Safety spokesperson Bailey Martin called the charge a “serious allegation.”
McCroy was Jackson area Troop C’s “Top Cop” in 2024.
