MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — Car enthusiasts from across the region are expected to gather in Meridian later this month for the Lakeside Show Down, a three-day event featuring custom cars, classic vehicles, imports and trucks.
The event will take place March 13–15 at 9283 Pinesprings Road and will include vehicle judging, live entertainment and activities for spectators.
Organizers say the event is open to a wide variety of vehicles and is designed to bring together car owners and fans for a weekend along the lake.
Activities begin Friday, March 13, with vendor setup scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vehicle registration opens at 5 p.m., followed by a pre-party and neon lights competition.
Gates open Saturday, March 14, at 8 a.m. for show vehicles and spectators, and judging will begin that morning. Entry into the park will close at 6 p.m. The evening will feature an after-party with live music from the band Cruisin 8th and performer Destiny Lynn. The after-party is scheduled to end at 10 p.m.
Events will continue Sunday, March 15, when gates reopen at 8 a.m. and judging resumes. Awards are scheduled to be presented at 2 p.m.
Registration for show vehicles costs $35 and includes two armbands. Spectator admission is $10.
Organizers are encouraging community members and visitors to “come kick it lakeside” and enjoy a weekend of cars, music and entertainment.
