LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Roadway improvements are underway on Meehan Savoy Road in Lauderdale County, with officials warning motorists to expect delays as construction continues.
The Lauderdale County Road & Bridge Department said the project has been awarded to Chris Albritton Construction, LLC, based in Laurel.
Work on the roadway includes base repair, leveling and chip sealing, according to the department.
Traffic in the area will be reduced to a single lane during construction. Officials said drivers should anticipate delays and use caution when traveling through the work zone.
Flaggers and traffic control signage will be in place to help direct vehicles safely through the area.
County officials said they appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as the improvements are completed.
