PRESS RELEASE
On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the Meridian Police Department received a call from a local hospital emergency room regarding an individual who had arrived seeking treatment for a gunshot wound.
Officers immediately began an investigation and were able to identify the location of the incident in the 3600 block of 24th Street.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is receiving medical treatment.
At this time, investigators believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The Meridian Police Department has identified two persons of interest and continues to actively pursue leads in the case.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have information related to this incident, or who may have surveillance or security camera footage from the area, to contact the Meridian Police Department.
