Hill retired July 31, 2026.

Chief Cyrus Ben credited Hill’s tenure with operational growth, financial achievement, and a commitment to the mission of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.

“On behalf of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, we thank Tim Hill for his leadership, dedication, and service to Pearl River Resort,” Ben said. “His contributions have helped strengthen our organization and position it for continued success. We wish Tim and his family all the best as he begins this well-deserved chapter of retirement.”

Castillo most recently served as executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer at Pearl River Resort, where he was involved in the resort’s financial strategy, operational performance, and long-term growth initiatives.

“Joe Castillo has been an important part of our organization’s success, and we have full confidence in his ability to lead Pearl River Resort forward,” Ben said. “His experience, leadership, and commitment to our Associates, guests, and Tribal community make him the right person for this role. We are not starting over. We are entering the next chapter with someone who helped write the last one.”

As interim president and CEO, Castillo will oversee all operations of Pearl River Resort, including Silver Star Hotel & Casino, Golden Moon Hotel & Casino, Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, Geyser Falls Water Theme Park, Bok Homa Casino and Crystal Sky Casino.

“It is an honor to be entrusted with this responsibility and to lead Pearl River Resort during this important time,” Castillo said. “Tim Hill leaves behind a strong foundation, and I am committed to building on that success while positioning the organization for future growth. We have an exceptional team, a clear vision, and a shared commitment to excellence. I am ready for the challenge ahead and look forward to working alongside our Associates as we continue creating outstanding experiences for our guests, driving innovation, and advancing the mission of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.”
