LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – A 34-year-old man who died early Friday in a single-vehicle crash on Shiloh-Vimville Road in Lauderdale County has been identified as Keenum Dawson, authorities said.
Lauderdale County Coroner Stella McMahan identified Dawson as the victim Friday after authorities initially withheld his name to allow time for his family to be notified.
McMahan said E-911 received a call reporting the crash at about 1:54 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14. The crash occurred in the 4800 block of Shiloh-Vimville Road.
Dawson died at the scene, McMahan said.
Lauderdale County Sheriff Ward Calhoun said Southeast Volunteer Fire & Rescue, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department and Metro Ambulance responded to the scene.
