MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) — East MS Gives will host a 24-hour online giving event Thursday, Sept. 17, to support nonprofit organizations across East Mississippi.
Beginning at midnight, community members can visit givingdayems.org to donate to a participating nonprofit of their choice and learn more about organizations serving communities throughout the region.
An in-person East MS Gives celebration will also be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dumont Plaza in downtown Meridian. The event will give attendees an opportunity to meet representatives from local nonprofits, enjoy live music and purchase food from food trucks.
East MS Gives will coincide with several other downtown Meridian activities Thursday, including Third Thursday, the Night Market and Canvases for Cancer.
The 24-hour giving event will continue through the end of Thursday.
