Georgia at Alabama, Ole Miss at Vanderbilt: Today’s SEC Schedule and TV Times

Meridian, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed)Isaias is gone from our area. Now many people in East Mississippi are turning to something they love on a fall Saturday. That is SEC football.

Isaias came ashore near Destin, Florida, around 8:30 p.m. Friday. The storm has since fallen apart. What is left of it is moving through central and north Alabama.

Isaias was a big storm. It was the first hurricane of the 2026 Atlantic season. It also formed later in the year than almost any first hurricane in 121 years.

Be Careful Heading Out

If you are driving to a watch party today, watch for wet roads and fallen limbs. Also, check on your neighbors, especially older folks who live alone.
