MERIDIAN, Miss. — The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office booked an individual on a felony charge of sexual battery upon a child under 14 on Monday afternoon, according to official detention center booking records.
According to jail logs from the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, deputies processed the arrest at approximately 5:37 p.m.. Additional bookings recorded during the same shift include charges for felony aggravated domestic violence and failure to register under the sex offender registration law, according to the sheriff’s office roster.
According to law enforcement, all individuals booked into the detention center are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
