MERIDIAN, Miss. — The MSU Riley Center will bring beloved children’s literature to the stage on Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026, with two live performances of “The Snowy Day and Other Stories by Ezra Jack Keats.”
Adapted for the stage by Jerome Hairston, the family-friendly educational production uses innovative shadow puppetry to bring Keats’ classic characters to life. The show combines four of Keats’ award-winning books: Whistle for Willie, Goggles!, A Letter to Amy, and The Snowy Day.
Showtimes are scheduled for 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the historic downtown theater.
According to venue coordinators, the performance celebrates the magic and boundless possibilities of childhood wonder through visual storytelling, making it accessible for school field trips and local families.
Tickets and additional information are available directly through the MSU Riley Center box office or by calling 601-696-2200.
