MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Meridian Ward 5 City Councilwoman Ty Bell officially announced her candidacy for Mayor of Meridian on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. Bell made her statement of intent and paid her qualifying fees at Meridian City Hall.
In her video announcement shared with Queen City Newsfeed, Bell outlined her vision for the future of Meridian, focusing on several key areas that she believes are critical to the city’s growth and well-being. Her platform includes initiatives to address safety and crime prevention, expand youth mentorship programs, stimulate economic development, and revitalize the downtown area.
Bell also emphasized the importance of improving educational opportunities and youth sports leagues, as well as launching community cleanup initiatives to enhance the city’s appearance and foster civic pride.
