MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – Travelers looking to expedite their airport security experience have an opportunity this week at Meridian Regional Airport. The airport is hosting a temporary enrollment center for TSA PreCheck through Friday, May 2nd.

The pop-up event allows area residents to complete the application process in person. TSA PreCheck enables eligible travelers to go through expedited security screening lanes at airports nationwide.

In addition to TSA PreCheck enrollment, individuals can also apply for a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) at the Meridian event. The TWIC card is required for workers who need unescorted access to secure areas of maritime facilities and vessels. The cost for the TWIC application, which includes TSA PreCheck enrollment, is $125. The standard fee for TSA PreCheck alone is $77.
