MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The City of Meridian will host Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, June 21, giving residents a safe and convenient opportunity to dispose of potentially dangerous materials.
The event is open to City of Meridian residents only and will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at two drop-off locations:

Public Works Complex at 311 27th Avenue South

North Hills Shopping Center at 4531 35th Avenue
Accepted items include aerosol cans, paint thinners, drain openers, antifreeze, used oil, tires, paints, corrosives, solvents, batteries, oil filters, fluorescent bulbs, yard and garden pesticides, and cell phones.
