Mississippi drivers have the opportunity to support animal welfare programs simply by choosing a specialty license plate. The “I Care for Animals” tag, available at county tax collector’s offices, helps fund critical services for pets across the state.
Proceeds from the program support local shelters, humane organizations and spay/neuter initiatives aimed at reducing pet overpopulation and improving overall animal health. Funds collected last year contributed to expanded services in communities statewide.
The specialty plate is one of several ways residents can assist in the care and protection of animals without direct involvement in rescue or veterinary work.
