MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed), Organizers of Full Moon on 5th have moved tonight’s 80s Night celebration to Singing Brakeman Park.
The event still happens tonight, Friday, October 2, at its usual time. Only the location has changed. Organizers say the party will go on rain or shine.
The Spunk Monkees will headline the night. The popular party band will take the stage with a lineup built for dancing.
Organizers also encourage guests to dress for the theme. They invite everyone to pull out their favorite 80s costume and come ready to have a good time.
Singing Brakeman Park honors Meridian native Jimmie Rodgers, known as the Singing Brakeman and the Father of Country Music.
Anyone planning to attend should head to Singing Brakeman Park instead of the usual Full Moon on 5th location.
