LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – A portion of Arkadelphia Road will be temporarily closed Tuesday, Jan. 13, to allow for drainage repairs, according to a statement from the Lauderdale County Road and Bridge Department.
The closure will begin at 8 a.m. and remain in effect until work is completed. Road and Bridge crews will be replacing a cross drain pipe, requiring a full closure of the roadway in the immediate work area, the department said in a Facebook post.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead by using alternate routes and to use caution when traveling near the work zone. Drivers are also asked to follow posted signs and traffic control measures and to avoid moving or removing barricades.
Officials thanked residents for their patience and cooperation as crews work to improve roadway safety and infrastructure throughout Lauderdale County.
