MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed)- The Croom Foundation and the Meridian Police Department will host the 3rd Annual 3K Run/Walk for Croom on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Bonita Lakes Park — a heartfelt event honoring the life and sacrifice of Officer Kennis Croom.
Officer Croom was killed in the line of duty on June 9, 2022. His service and dedication to the Meridian community continue to inspire efforts to give back and bring people together. The Run/Walk for Croom serves as a day of remembrance, unity, and charity.
The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Bonita Lakes Park, located at 418 Lake Drive in Meridian. Participants can choose to run, walk, volunteer, donate, or show their support by purchasing the official 2025 event T-shirt.
All net proceeds will go to Wesley House Community Center in Meridian, which provides vital services to families and individuals in need across the region.
Organizers say the event is more than a race — it’s a chance to celebrate Officer Croom’s legacy and make a lasting impact on the community he served.
