LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Lauderdale County Road and Bridge Department will close a portion of Lakeview Golf Course Road beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, to replace a damaged cross pipe.
Officials said the closure is necessary for the safety of crews and the traveling public. The work is expected to be completed and the road reopened by Friday, Sept. 19, pending weather and construction progress.
Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes while repairs are underway. County officials said emergency services and other relevant departments have been notified.
The department said crews will work “as quickly and safely as possible” to complete the project.
“We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation during this closure as we continue working to maintain and improve Lauderdale County’s roads,” the department said in a statement.
