MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The City of Meridian announced that 18th Avenue will be closed Thursday and Friday while crews complete paving work following a new pipe installation.
City officials said Hemphill Construction will carry out the closure on Jan. 15 and Jan. 16 as part of the Highway 80 Trunk Line Phase 2-B Rehabilitation Project. The detour route will remain in place as previously submitted.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and use caution while traveling in the area. The city said updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
