Baseball Hall of Famer and Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones was in Meridian Saturday night as the guest of honor for a Meridian Community College baseball fundraising event held at McCain Theater.
Jones spent his entire Major League Baseball career with the Braves from 1993 to 2012, earning 13 division titles, a World Series championship in 1995, and the 1999 National League Most Valuable Player award. During the event, Jones spoke with MCC players and supporters, sharing insight and experiences from his career at the highest level of the game.
The ticketed fundraiser benefited the MCC baseball program and provided players and fans the opportunity to hear directly from one of baseball’s most accomplished switch hitters.
