Meridian Public School District to host Parent University at The MAX

MERIDIAN, Miss. (Queen City Newsfeed) – The Meridian Public School District will host its annual Parent University later this month, offering families resources and information aimed at supporting student success.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The MAX, the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience.

District officials say Parent University is designed to provide families with tools and connections to help their children succeed both academically and personally. The event will include financial literacy workshops, school information sessions, parent resources and opportunities to connect with community partners.

Adrian Cross-Phillips, the district’s parent and community engagement specialist, said the event focuses on strengthening the role of families in education.

“Parent University is about empowering families with knowledge and resources that make a real difference,” Cross-Phillips said. “When parents and schools work together, students thrive. This event creates an opportunity for meaningful engagement, practical learning, and stronger partnerships that benefit our entire district.”

The district also thanked The MAX for hosting this year’s event, noting its continued partnership in supporting programs that bring together families, schools and the community.

Officials encourage all Meridian Public School District families to attend.
