MERIDIAN, Miss. ( Queen City Newsfeed)— The city of Meridian will honor Ken Rainey with a star unveiling and free celebration concert Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Temple Theatre.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with the unveiling of Rainey’s star at the Temple Theatre. A Ken Rainey Celebration Concert will follow from 7 to 9 p.m.
Country music artist Randy Houser will appear as a special guest. The event will also feature performances by Scott McQuaig, Emily White, Britt Gully, Lach Thornton, Ford Scharmen, Jax Moore, Daniel Houze, Grayson Culpepper and the Live Stock Band.
The event is free to attend, but tickets are required and availability is limited.
The celebration will recognize Rainey and his connection to Meridian through an evening of music and community festivities.
