MERIDIAN, Miss. — The Vietnam Memorial Wall and 250 Years of Freedom Tribute at East Mississippi Veterans Park has been postponed due to the threat of Hurricane Isaias.
Organizers announced the decision Thursday, citing an abundance of caution for veterans, volunteers, visitors and the community.
The event has not been canceled, and a new date will be announced once conditions are safe.
Organizers expressed appreciation for the community’s support and understanding as they prioritize the safety of everyone involved.
